  • AT&T and Verizon Teasing With “Something is Coming” Get Ready

AT&T and Verizon Teasing With “Something is Coming” Get Ready

The two famous carriers of America have started to advertise on their website about “Something is coming”. That something coming is now no more hidden. We all know that iPad 3 is coming in few hours and these two, Verizon and AT&T will be first carriers to get their hands on them. They will be the first carrier in the U.S.A to have iPad 3’s on their shelf. We don’t know about the first lucky user to have his/her hands on iPad 3 on its launch day.

The advertisement war has already started between these two carriers. First Verizon started to tease with “Something is coming” and later on AT&T followed them and stated “Coming soon”.

The story doesn’t ends here. There is more in the Media Event today by Apple. New iOS 5.1 with some great features and refreshment of Apple TV is also expected to come at the same old price. Don’t miss out the event.

  • iOS 5.1 GM Cleared for Take Off With New Features Landing with iPad 3

iOS 5.1 GM Cleared for Take Off With New Features Landing with iPad 3

iPad 3 is almost around the corner and in few hours we will be seeing it live on our screens. Whenever Apple releases a new iDevice, they release a new version of iOS with it. If you remember in October, Apple launched iPhone 4S and released iOS 5 alongside of it. This year they are going to launch iPad 3 and we were expecting to see a new iOS expected to be iOS 6. Previously reports claimed that some web leaks suggested that the iOS 6 is in testing by Apple and they are planning to release the iOS 6 with iPad 3.

Now it seems that all the rumors about a new iOS version went into trash. Before they could ever thought of the iOS 5.1 which is in beta testing for past few months and still no news came out on it, we totally forgot about that. We simply thought Apple will ditch iOS 5.1 and will release iOS 6 or iOS 5.1 for older Devices and iOS 6 with iPad 3. This was really a strange thought. How could Apple do that so easily without releasing the iOS 6 beta? Before Apple release any new iOS version, they release a Beta version of that before to test internally and externally with Developers. Any how the rumor about the iOS 6 was a great fail we might see iOS 6 with iPhone 5 or so. Now the question remains about what will be coming with iPad 3. The answer is iOS 5.1. Apple was internally testing iOS 5.1 GM for past three weeks and with some carriers/partners. In other words, the iOS 5.1 GM was in “Vital Quality Assurance Phase” for the past few months.

The news of this iOS 5.1 GM comes from chronicwire stating that:

The build number of iOS 5.1 Gold Master is 9B176 according to a very solid source, although three different partners who are testing the Gold Master claim to have slightly (by single digits) higher builds numbers on their copies, I’m assuming that’s because right now it’d make sense for those people to be testing what will soon be released as 5.1.1, so I’ve disregarded the claims.

According to them they got the build number 9B176 from a very reliable source. They also got some new build numbers from three different sources. The numbers are slightly different from each other and they hint towards a new iOS version of iOS 5.1.1. Nothing can be said for the iOS 5.1.1 so far. Take that as a rumor.

As far as the features are concerned, we will be seeing the Japanese Support for SIRI which was leaked in wild previously by SIRI. Not the support of the language, though SIRI leaked that she can speak Japanese. Later on that was fixed by Apple and SIRI couldn’t say that she can speak Japanese. So, Japanese fans can be happy now because their native language support is coming in iOS 5.1.

A part from the SIRI update, we came across a new feature called Camera Slider. This is totally a new feature and was not in any previous builds. The news about Camera Slider was leaked by a Portuguese blog, BlogdoiPhone. They got their hands on the pre-GM build of iOS 5.1 and found out this amazing Gesture feature for iDevices. In previous version of iOS 5 we have to double press the home button in order to have camera button on our home screen and then we can access the camera from the lock screen. Now with this Gesture shown in the picture, we won’t have to press the home button twice. Simple slide the camera button up and the camera will be up and running. The camera button is said to be permanently present on the lock screen.

Apple is trying to make iOS much easier to use. They are consistently planning out new features to innovate their iOS and their iDevices. iPad 3 is around the horizon and will be coming in some hours. Also remember that iOS 5 GM is equivalent to final release. The only difference is of Public release and Developers release.

Now all we have to do is some little wait for the final release of iOS 5.1 and iPad 3.

  • Facebook Messenger Ready To Reveal For OS X

Facebook Messenger Ready To Reveal For OS X

Facebook is the biggest social network which is expanding day by day. Facebook is the first social network which somewhat made other social websites go out of business. It attracted more than a million of people are its successful launch. People from different social websites like Orkut, MySpace, and many more closed their accounts to migrate to Facebook. Facebook in a short time got a lot of name around the World Wide Web and has been changing its interface on yearly basis. Time Line is the new feature that is currently rolling out on Facebook and it is not liked by everyone. Not everyone is compatible with the new feature introduced by Facebook.

Facebook not only introduced Time Line, they also introduced video calling and a new chat interface. They also introduced Facebook Messenger App for iOS and Android. After introducing the App for Mobile OS’s they thought to come up with something new and unique, they looked up for a way by which they can make life easier of the users. So they came up with Messenger for Windows which was leaked back in late December. The Facebook Messenger is now officially available via Facebook’s official page for Windows.

The interface of the Facebook Messenger is said to be the same as the test version. The Facebook Messenger got the same Google chrome like tabs, the Messenger got news feed, friend’s online list, and it shows you the notifications and the friend request section also. In other words, Facebook is trying to help out the users who don’t want to login again and again in order to see the friend requests, there notifications or who is online or not. The team is simply trying to bring users to desktop and helping them out to reduce their time and energy.

The Facebook Messenger is only available for Windows 7 so far and the work for Windows Vista is in progress whereas the Windows XP users got no luck because Facebook Messenger won’t be supporting Windows XP. A part from Windows Vista, the Facebook Messenger is also said to be coming to OS X Platform sometime soon. The Verge reports that:

“A Mac version is on the way, but the company declined to give us a time-frame for that one.”

It seems that the Facebook Messenger for OS X would be a major update and will bring some new and enhanced features to OS X. We can expect the Pop up Notification in the upcoming Facebook Messenger for OS X integrated with OS X Lion.

All we have to do it wait for OS X update and see what is new in the box. What do you people thing would be new in the box?

iPad 3 launch is set for this week’s Wednesday, 7th march and Apple is dressing up the Yerba Buena Arts Center for the launch of iPad 3. On the other hand the long started rumors are not trying to shut themselves up. Every day we are hearing new rumors about the upcoming iPad 3 and some other things are also expected to launch with iPad 3 this year. The time will tell and make the rumors shut up. As iPad 3 is confirmed this year and in this month, we can exclude it now from all those rumors we were hearing in past.

Few days back we came across a rumor stating that the iPad 3 prices will hike by $70-$80 as compared to iPad 2. This means that the price of iPad 3 16GB would be $570-$580 on its launch. Luckily this is not going to happen. The price hike news goes wrong as 9to5mac releases the official prices of the iPad 3, given to them by MR.X. The price structure is as follows:

The prices for the iPad 3 are the same as iPad 2 and the prices are said to have downfall in some countries that are better off than U.S Dollar. The model of the iPad 3’s will be the same as the iPad 2. 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. The Model numbers for the iPad 3 are as follow:

This year Apple is expected to release a low sized and spaced tablet to compete with its competitors. We can expect an iPad-Mini with the capacity of 8GB with some good improvements. iPad-Mini might sound strange but Apple will have to make one to compete its competitors.

  • Apple Dressing up Yerba Buena Center for iPad 3’s Media Event

Apple Dressing up Yerba Buena Center for iPad 3’s Media Event

The preparations by Apple have started for the iPad 3 launches next week. Long rumored iPad 3 will finally be coming next week on 7th March 2012. We told you before that Apple had sent out media invitations with a tag line saying:

We have something you really have to see. And touch.

This for sure indicated that Apple will be unveiling their iPad 3 this year. There are a lot of things to expect from this media event by Apple. First thing is iPad 3, the second thing we expect is iOS 5.1, the third thing is Apple TV refreshment, and the fourth thing we can expect is demo of OS X Lion or some words on the new build. These all things will be uncovered on their respective time. It is too early to say anything.

Before we expect more or say anything more about this event, macstories have got some snapshots ready of Yerba Buena Centre of Arts in San Francisco. The snapshots of the Yerba shows that Apple has started to dress the Art Center for their Media Event on 7th of March 2012. It is also believed that the banners somewhat indicate about what is going to be revealed.

Till now we can only see one banner and it is hard to tell what Apple is planning to launch other than iPad 3. Don’t forget that the event shoots at 10:00 AM (PDT).
